It was an unforgettable experience. Despite a surprisingly warm winter in Moscow, the program's atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming in every other sense. What made it so special was the seamless blend of intensive Russian language classes with the hands-on discovery of traditional Russian instruments like the balalaika and gusli. Learning to pronounce new words and then hearing their musicality reflected in folk melodies was a revelation. However, the moment that took my breath away, was attending a rehearsal of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra. To hear that powerful, living Russian sound wash over me was more impactful than any textbook lesson. It didn't just teach me about Russian culture; it made me feel it deeply. This program is a masterpiece for anyone who wants to connect with the soul of Russia.

This program perfectly balanced rigorous classical training with the immense inspiration of studying art in the majestic settings of Moscow and St. Petersburg. It was a deep dive into Russian academic art that exceeded all my expectations.
